Terms of Service

1. The service

Eatove arranges same-day dinner tables between strangers. We book the table; we are not the restaurant, and dinner is paid at the venue, separate checks (AA) by default. Eatove charges nothing at launch.

2. Eligibility

17+, one account per person, real first name. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.

3. The daily mechanic

One decision per day. Tapping "I'm in" opens or joins a table; it's a commitment to show up, not a browse.

4. Cancellation & no-shows

Free cancel until 5 PM local time. Later cancels and no-shows lower your reliability score; repeated late cancels pause your account for a day. Chronic no-shows may be removed.

5. Reviews & content

You may review a spot only after dining there through Eatove; one review per spot, editable. You grant us a license to display your reviews in-app. No harassment, doxxing, spam, or commercial solicitation.

6. Meeting people

You meet real strangers in public restaurants. Use judgment; we verify accounts but do not run criminal background checks. Report problems in-app (··· next to a name) — we act within 24h.

7. Safety & conduct

The Community Guidelines are part of these terms; violations can end your account without refund of anything owed.

8. Disclaimers

Service provided "as is"; we're not liable for the conduct of diners or restaurants, food quality, allergies, or indirect damages. Our total liability caps at $100 or what you paid us in 12 months, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

You can delete anytime (Settings); we can suspend for violations, with notice where practicable.

10. Law & disputes

California law; disputes in San Francisco County courts (small claims where eligible). Changes announced 14 days ahead.
